Luke Simpson co-founded Grand Peaks Properties in 2003. As CEO, he currently oversees the strategic direction and long-term planning of Grand Peaks. Prior to forming Grand Peaks, he served as Senior Vice President of Simpson Housing Limited Partnership, where he focused on the company’s development operations. He is a licensed real estate broker in the State of Colorado. Luke is a graduate of Southern Methodist University where he received a B.B.A. degree in Real Estate & Finance.

KEVIN JEWETT

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Kevin Jewett joined Grand Peaks in 2015 and oversees firm-level and investment-level operations. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President of Asset Management, managing investor relations, acquisitions, operational efficiencies, and reporting processes. Before Grand Peaks, Kevin worked in transaction management at Newmark (formerly Apartment Realty Advisors). He holds a B.A. in History from the University of Oregon and a Graduate Certificate in Real Estate Development from Portland State University.

MAX SILER

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Max Siler joined Grand Peaks in 2007 and manages day-to-day operational oversight and financing activities. He has assisted with the recapitalization, acquisition, development, and disposition of over 23,000 multifamily units, totaling more than $4.2 billion. Max is an active licensed real estate broker in Colorado and holds a B.S.B.A. in Real Estate & Finance from the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver.

ELLI LOBACH

CHIEF DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

Elli Lobach has been with Grand Peaks since 2015. Throughout her tenure at the firm, she has directly developed and constructed more than 3,500 rental units and 100,000 square feet of retail totaling over $1 billion, and managed acquisitions and dispositions totaling more than $600 million. Prior to joining Grand Peaks, Ms. Lobach was Senior Development Manager at Holland Partner Group, and Acquisitions Manager at Archstone. She also worked in project management for the New York City Economic Development Corporation. Ms. Lobach received a B.A. degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and a Master of Real Estate degree from Harvard University.

JEFF ANDERSON

CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER, WEST

Jeff Anderson joined Grand Peaks in March 2025 and is responsible for the development of investment strategy and the execution of acquisitions and investment management in the Western Region of the US. Prior to joining Grand Peaks, Jeff was a Regional Head of Transactions for BlackRock and held various roles in asset management, portfolio management, and transactions including Senior Acquisition Officer at RREEF / DWS. Since 2013, he has been responsible for sourcing and closing $2.8 billion in transaction volume across various markets and risk profiles. He received a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Iowa and a Master of Science degree in Real Estate Finance from DePaul University.

MICHAEL SOMMERS

CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER, EAST

Michael Sommers, based in Grand Peaks’ Miami office, specializes in multi-family acquisitions, renovations, and asset management in the Southeastern U.S. Since 2016, he has led the acquisition of 20 properties totaling 5,800 units and $1.25 billion, overseeing $150 million in renovations. Previously, he managed a 3,000-unit portfolio at Fifteen Group and worked at Equity Residential, overseeing 20,000 apartments. A University of Miami lecturer for 15+ years, he holds a B.A. in Finance from UM and an MBA from the University of Florida.

EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, CAPITAL MARKETS

Sarah Johnson joined Grand Peaks in 2025 and brings more than 18 years of experience in real estate capital markets. She has worked across institutional investment management, banking, lending, and advisory platforms, with deep expertise in debt structuring, portfolio management, lender relationships, and risk management strategies. Prior to joining Grand Peaks, Ms. Johnson served as Director at Chatham Financial, where she managed global strategic relationships for real estate and private equity clients and delivered comprehensive capital markets and risk advisory solutions. Her prior experience also includes senior capital markets and lending roles with EverWest Real Estate Investors, KeyBank Real Estate Capital, Triton Investment Company, and The Private Bank and Trust Company. She received a B.S.B.A. with an emphasis in Finance and Real Estate from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

MATT LYONS

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, ACQUISITIONS

Matt Lyons has been with Grand Peaks since 2016 and currently focuses on multi-family acquisitions and investment management in the Mountain Region of the U.S. Prior to joining the firm, he worked in mergers and acquisitions within the engineering and construction industry. Throughout his tenure in real estate, he has been responsible for nearly $1 billion in acquisition activity. Matt received a B.S.B.A. degree in Real Estate & Finance and an MBA from the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver.

JEREMY BALDYGA

VICE PRESIDENT, ACCOUNTING

Jeremy Baldyga has been with Grand Peaks since 203 and is the Vice President of Corporate Accounting, where he oversees corporate financial reporting, investment accounting, and payroll administration across the organization. He leads full-cycle accounting for more than 100 investment and Holdco entities and oversees annual financial audits across the portfolio. Prior to joining Grand Peaks, Jeremy held senior accounting roles at McWhinney Real Estate Services and Laramar Group, with earlier experience in corporate accounting and audit support roles. He received a B.S.. in Accounting with a minor in Finance and a Master of Business Administration from McKendree University.

Prior to joining the firm, he did financial analysis for Berland Development Group and worked in leasing at Fowler Property Management. Taylor King has been with Grand Peaks since 2025 and currently serves as Vice President of Portfolio Management, where she focuses on supporting portfolio oversight, performance tracking, and business plan execution across the firm’s investment assets. With more than a decade of multifamily real estate experience, She previously spent over five years at Forum Investment Group, progressing from Senior Analyst to Director of Investments, and also held roles in commercial real estate banking at Bank of America and capital markets at CBRE. Taylor holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Alabama.

MARK KUBIK

DIRECTOR OF RISK

Mark Kubik has been with Grand Peaks since 2015 and is the Director of Risk, where he leads risk management and oversees facilities operations across the company’s multifamily portfolio. In this role, he is responsible for developing and implementing enterprise-wide risk mitigation strategies, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and directing facility services to support operational performance and resident satisfaction. Prior to joining Grand Peaks, Mark held risk and facilities leadership roles in the real estate and property management sectors, bringing extensive experience in safety program development and operational oversight. He received his degree from the University of Colorado Denver.

Matthew Johnson started with Grand Peaks in 2024 as Director of Construction, where he leads construction oversight and delivery for the firm’s multifamily development projects. Prior to joining Grand Peaks, Matthew gained extensive construction management experience working on a range of public and private sector construction projects. He received his degree from Villanova University.

Andria Puckett joined Grand Peaks in 2025, where she supports firm operations with a focus on organizational coordination and internal processes. Prior to joining Grand Peaks, Andria previously held leadership roles in asset management and property operations at Forum Investment Group, Embrey Partners, Pinnacle Property Management, and Alliance Residential Company. Andria earned her degree from Stephen F. Austin State University.

Jennifer Turner serves as an Asset Manager at Grand Peaks, overseeing the firm’s Southeast portfolio. Prior to Grand Peaks, Justin held leadership positions in property operations and management, providing a strong foundation for informed investment strategies. He holds a Colorado Associate Broker License and is a Certified Apartment Manager (CAM).

Keaton Meidinger joined Grand Peaks in 2022 as an Investment Associate, supporting the firm’s acquisition and investment efforts across key markets. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Florida, is a Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP), and an AvidXchange Certified Administrator.

Morgan Potter joined Grand Peaks in 2021 as Executive Assistant, supporting executive leadership and the investments team with scheduling, project management, and operational coordination.
