With more than 40 years of industry experience, Don is a recognized pioneer in affordable housing development and finance, having helped create over 27,000 affordable homes nationwide. He guides site selection, financing strategy, and key partnerships, drawing on decades of innovation and industry relationships. Don holds a Bachelor of Science from John Brown University and maintains multiple professional licenses and designations within real estate and finance.

Lisa Sorensen is Senior Vice President of Grand Peaks Housing Solutions, where she leads the firm’s affordable and workforce housing platform, overseeing development strategy, financing, and public-private partnerships. With more than 30 years of experience in real estate development and finance, Lisa brings deep expertise in LIHTC transactions, complex capital structures, and governmental partnerships. She previously held senior leadership roles at Cohen-Esrey Development Group and the Denver Housing Authority. Lisa holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting and Finance and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).

Alan Simpson is a Director at Grand Peaks Housing Solutions, supporting the affordable and workforce housing platform across all phases of development—from site selection and acquisition through construction closeout. With a hands-on, detail-oriented approach, Alan coordinates design, entitlements, financing pursuits, and construction oversight to ensure high-quality project delivery. He brings more than a decade of experience across development, construction, and operations, having progressed through multiple roles within the Grand Peaks platform. Alan holds a Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University and a Professional Certificate in Affordable Housing from the University of Denver.
